Als 20-gliedriges Makrolacton mit fünf Stereozentren, mehreren isolierten und konjugierten Doppelbindungseinheiten und einer Dienamid-tragenden Seitenkette bietet der hochfunktionalisierte Naturstoff aus struktureller Sicht für den Synthesechemiker interessante Herausforderungen.
